Step in Centers
These centers are aimed to serve a larger number of street children than institutional programs. We work to alleviate the worst aspects of street life out of the children by providing services to them in the centers. COGF is at present running step-in centers at Kalwa and Kurla.
HEALTH:
One-time nutritious meal (breakfast/lunch)
DOCUMENTATION:
Documentation helps children to avail facilities provided by government
EDUCATION:
Children above 12yrs are taught in our special syllabus (STEP-UP)and enrolled for 10th/12th (NIOS BOARD)
Children below 12yrs are enrolled in nearby schools
Life skill trainings are given
Young adults are sent for training in employability skills and workshops are held to provide jobs
REHABILITATION:
Special counselling is given for children with addiction and rehabilitation of children with heavy addition are referred to deaddiction centers
Referring children to CWC that are subject to neglect to be placed in safe HOMES

Some children need temporary financial support/shelter, till their near ones can care for them again.Cogf provides temporary support so that that the children are not drawn to the street or fall into wrong hands. Cogf also sponsors’ the education of the children who have left cogf. These children are now living on their own and wish to study further
